Lisbon Embassy To No Longer Process Immigrant Visas

Effective March 1, 2012, the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal will no longer be processing immigrant visa applications to the United States. Instead, individuals will be directed to apply for immigrant processing through the U.S. Embassy in Paris. This change is due to the “relatively low demand” for immigrant visas in Portugal.

Recent EB-5 Visa Statistics Released

The USCIS recently released EB-5 adjudication statistics to the public. The statistics show an increase in the use of the EB-5 visa, including I-924 applications for regional center recognition, I-526 applications to initiate individual EB-5 Immigrant Investor Petitions, and I-829 application to Remove Conditions to EB-5 permanent residency.
