Overview: Currently, premium processing is not available to EB 1-3 visa applicants. However, based on the comments of USCIS, it is expected that premium processing will become available to multinational executive or manager applicants during the first few months of 2012.
What is Premium Processing?: Premium Processing is a process by which the USCIS agrees to make a determination within fifteen days of receiving an immigration application. In exchange, an applicant must pay an additional fee (currently $1,225). By the end of the fifteen days, the USCIS will either approve, deny or request more information from the applicant. Without premium processing, an application takes many months before the USCIS reviews it.
Who is eligible for the EB 1-3 Visa?: The EB 1-3 visa is available to multinational executives or managers who seek to enter the United States to continue their service with a multinational company entity. The EB 1-3 visa is not limited to large multinational companies, and it is possible for managers or executives of smaller businesses and companies to receive an EB 1-3 visa.
