The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is reporting that there is a record number of foreign national students who are currently studying within the United States. According to the agency, over 670,000 students are studying here. The agency is trotting this number to demonstrate the United States’ ability to maintain a open doors approach to attracting foreign national students to the United States.
One question that remains, and that is addressed by a recent AILA blog post, is whether America has a logical approach to ensure that the best and brightest who come to study in the United States are allowed to stay in the United States after graduation.
