10 Deaths in Detainee Centers go Unreported

The government recently announced that it had previously overlooked one out of every ten deaths that had died since 2003. This report came to light after the ACLU uncovered undisclosed deaths in documents obtained in an Freedom of Information Act request.   Since October 2003, the Government reports that 104 deaths have occurred to immigrants in detention facilities.
